Crescent House
Dullwich Hill
This
two-storey addition to the rear of an existing house allowed a new
direct connections to the
rainforest-like garden.
The design:
|
| > |
extensively
used timber, including recycled blackbutt flooring, recycled tallowood
decking and plantation hoop pine screens. |
| > |
encouraged
natural lighting - the lounge and dining areas are flooded with daylight,
while the kitchen is provided with diffuse daylight through a timber,
battened screen. |
| > |
retained
much of the existing house intact, minimising both cost and environmental
impact. |
